Why Olivia Culpo Joked She Was "Annoyed" Ahead of Surprise Proposal From Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey pulled the biggest trick play of all time before he proposed, according to Olivia Culpo.
The Culpo Sisters star detailed their engagement during an April 18 appearance on Amazon Live, sharing that she had "no idea it was going to happen" because the NFL star did not show any indication that he was planning to get down on one knee.
"Christian deserves an Oscar for his performance," she joked. "He was leading me astray the entire time."
In fact, Olivia recalled "asking him if he was ready to get engaged or if he had any timeline in mind, because I was starting to get kind of annoyed" in the weeks leading up to the proposal. Yet, Christian remained tight-lipped on the fact that his plan to propose was already in motion
She added, "He never let out a peep!"
Olivia, 30, and Christian, 26, got engaged on April 2. As seen in photos posted to Instagram, Christian popped the question in front of a massive floral display during the couple's visit to the desert. During the magical moment, the San Francisco 49ers running back asked Olivia to be his wife with an oval cut diamond from Ring Concierge.
Since then, according to Olivia, she's been hard at work planning for their wedding.
"It's so much work," she remarked during her Amazon Live stream, adding, "My parents want us to get married in Newport—I don't know about that. I do like the idea of mountains, so we will see."
And though Olivia has already tapped her dog Oliver Sprinkles for ring bearer duties, the timing of the actual ceremony is still up in the air.
"I don't know yet," she said of setting a wedding date. "I hope really soon, because I want to have little babies, so that would be amazing."
However, the former Miss Universe—who has been dating Christian since 2019—noted she does "have an idea in mind" about what she'll wear to the nuptials.
"I have found that you never know until you try the actual dress on," she explained. "I do have an idea. It's a lot of pressure."
