Watch Prince Harry Lose His Cool While Visiting a Haunted House

Prince Harry made a surprise cameo on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 26, joining host Jimmy Fallon for a tour through his haunted maze experience “Tonightmares.”
The Duke of Sussex visited the New York City activity telling the late-night comedian that he is “not normally” someone to get easily scared, but added, “But today might be different.”
Harry and Jimmy proceeded through the maze wearing body cameras to capture their real-time reactions. Of course, the Saturday Night Live alum was immediately on edge, screaming as the pair appeared to drop down in a faulty elevator before being greeted by a ghoulish guide.
As different frights popped out, Harry asked Jimmy, “Was that you?” after one particularly loud scream.
Jimmy wasn’t sure, pondering, “Was that me?”
Harry continued through the maze, laughing off most of the pop out moments, and even questioning if one zombie creature was Michael Bublé.
“Yes, it’s Michael Bublé from The Voice,” Jimmy quipped in response. “You do a great job on The Voice.”
Harry even managed to turn the tables and shock some of the maze’s performers who shared a moment after jumping out, realizing that they’d just come into contact with the youngest son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana. One of the in-costume monsters began fanning herself in response.
As the maze continued, Harry became noticeably less chill, leading up to the moment where he and Jimmy stopped to pose for a photo at the end of the course only to have one final monster pop out.
Harry screamed in surprise and pretended to punch the spook as the Tonight Show host cracked up.
And while the British royal—who is married to Meghan Markle—didn’t stick around for an interview, this, of course, isn’t his first time on a late night show. He appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2021 as well at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2023.
The surprise visit from the royal—who is dad to son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3—comes after he recently reflected on his milestone 40th birthday.
"I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40," Harry told BBC in a statement on Sept. 13. "Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world."
